Saitama, the unstoppable hero from One Punch Man, possesses strength so overwhelming that he can defeat any opponent with a single punch. If he were to enter the Marvel or DC Universe, his presence would disrupt power hierarchies, challenging even the mightiest heroes and villains.
Would he stand alongside the Avengers or the Justice League, or would his unmatched abilities make him a lone fighter in a world filled with struggles and limits? Looking at how Saitama fits into these universes raises intriguing questions about storytelling, power balance, and the very nature of heroism.
As his name implies, Saitama can defeat any opponent with just a single punch. However, when he made an unexpected appearance in the pages of Marvel Comics, it wasn’t in the way fans might have expected—there were no punches thrown.

Saitama’s Origins and Unique Abilities
Starting as the main character in the One-Punch Man webcomic, Saitama has since been featured in a long-running manga series and an anime adaptation. What makes him particularly fascinating is that his immense strength comes from a surprisingly simple workout routine.
By consistently doing 100 push-ups, sit-ups, and squats daily, along with running and maintaining a healthy diet, he gained the ability to take down any foe with just one strike. Though his training led to baldness, it also granted him unmatched strength.
While the story is filled with humor, it also delivers intense action sequences
A Familiar Face in All-New Inhumans
In All-New Inhumans #5, written by James Asmus with artwork by Andre Lima Araujo and Andres Mossa, a character bearing a striking resemblance to Saitama appears as a member of China’s People’s Defense Force.
This unnamed individual shares several visual similarities with the Caped Baldy—his bald head, flowing cape, yellow outfit, and even his boots all mirror Saitama’s signature look.
While there are a few differences—he lacks gloves, sleeves, and a belt, and he doesn’t possess the same overwhelming strength—the resemblance is too obvious to be coincidental.
The Character’s Unique Abilities and Possible Origins
Unlike Saitama, this lookalike seems to have powers related to controlling wildlife, as he is seen commanding a bird and a tiger. This suggests that while his visual design is based on One-Punch Man, his abilities follow a different path.

Some fans speculate that he might be a redesign of the metahuman known as Most Perfect Hero, a member of China’s Defense Force who previously appeared in Mighty Avengers #27.
In his original appearance, Most Perfect Hero also wore a yellow outfit, albeit with a mask, before being killed off in his only known comic issue. Regardless of whether this character is meant to be a direct nod to Saitama or a simple coincidence, the similarities are impossible to ignore.
Anime and Manga References in Comics
Seeing characters inspired by anime and manga in Western comics is not a new phenomenon. Dragon Ball Z, for instance, has a presence within the DC Comics universe, while Marvel and DC heroes exist within My Hero Academia’s world.
These crossover references highlight the influence that Japanese media has on Western storytelling. Given how well Saitama’s abilities would stack up against the likes of Marvel’s strongest heroes, many fans would love to see him officially appear in Marvel Comics.
His unmatched power would present an entirely new level of challenge for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and such a clash would be a thrilling spectacle.
