One Punch Man takes a different approach from the usual battle shōnen formula. Instead of following a young protagonist who embarks on a journey to build friendships and grow stronger, this series introduces an older main character who prefers to keep to himself and has already reached an unmatched level of strength, possibly making him the most powerful being in existence.
Several formidable fighters exist within the One Punch Man universe, and they should not be underestimated. Apart from the main character, many supporting figures stand out with their unique traits. Each of them has different motivations and personalities, making them distinct.

With only two seasons released so far, quite a number have yet to receive proper attention. However, with a new season on the way, there is a chance this could change.
6. King
Holding the S-Class rank 5 title makes King appear to be among the mightiest individuals alive, at least on paper.
The truth, however, is that he lacks the strength to even fend off weak monsters. His reputation as a top-tier hero stems from pure luck—every time Saitama defeated a foe, King happened to be nearby, leading people to mistakenly credit him for the victory.
Even though he isn’t strong, King remains an underrated character. His interactions with Saitama are some of the most entertaining in the series, and their shared love for video games helps them bond well. Among all the characters, King is perhaps the only one who truly understands Saitama’s struggles.
His practical advice proves valuable, especially since Saitama isn’t always the most thoughtful person. Hopefully, future episodes will give King more moments to shine.
5. Mumen Rider
Physical strength or a striking appearance might not be Mumen Rider’s strong points, but his heroic spirit is undeniable. He has been featured multiple times in the story, showing his determination to uphold justice. Lacking any supernatural abilities to shield him from danger, he still refuses to stand aside while innocent people suffer.
Many of the heroes in One Punch Man acknowledge Mumen Rider’s humble nature, and he has formed good relationships with several of them, including Saitama. If he is given more screen time in future arcs, fans may finally get a deeper look into his background and the reason behind his unwavering commitment to heroism.
4. Genos
Making an early entrance in the series, Genos instantly caught attention with his impressive cyborg design. After witnessing Saitama’s overwhelming power, he insisted on becoming his disciple, much to the bald hero’s frustration. His persistence eventually paid off when Saitama agreed, albeit reluctantly.
Since then, Genos has remained by Saitama’s side, and over time, they have built a solid bond. Although their relationship doesn’t follow the traditional master-student dynamic, they genuinely care for each other and would not hesitate to put themselves at risk to protect one another.
It would be exciting to see Genos develop new abilities and win battles on his own.
3. Sonic
A highly skilled ninja, Sonic sees himself as Saitama’s rival. However, this rivalry is entirely one-sided, as Saitama does not consider Sonic a serious threat, which only fuels the ninja’s frustration. Sonic has displayed glimpses of his capabilities, showing promising combat skills.
Even the Monster Association attempted to recruit him, believing he would be a valuable asset. To avoid fading into irrelevance, Sonic should be included more frequently in upcoming seasons. He has the potential to become a formidable fighter and might even join forces with Saitama.

If he chooses otherwise, maintaining his rivalry with the bald hero would still make for entertaining battles. More screen time and enhanced abilities could help Sonic challenge the strongest opponents.
2. Blast
Holding the title of the strongest hero should ideally make Blast one of the most featured characters in One Punch Man, but the opposite is true. Little is known about him, and fans are yet to see him demonstrate his abilities. As a result, there is no concrete information about his fighting skills or personality.
With each season raising the stakes, it seems only a matter of time before Blast makes an appearance to show what he can do. One major question that remains unanswered is whether he stands a chance against Saitama in battle.
1. Fubuki
As Tatsumaki’s younger sibling and a B-Class hero, Fubuki faces a huge power gap when compared to her sister. Tatsumaki ranks as the second most powerful hero in the association, while Fubuki remains in the B-Class ranks. Despite this, she possesses impressive leadership qualities, demonstrated by her ability to hold the Blizzard Group together.
Fubuki might not be among the strongest in One Punch Man, but she contributes in other ways. She displays courage in high-risk situations and does not hesitate to put herself in danger for the sake of others. Unlike Tatsumaki, she has a more down-to-earth personality, making her a favorite among fans.
Hopefully, future episodes will give her more time to develop as a character.
