The Worst Defeats No One Saw Coming in One Punch Man

The Monster Association war pushes heroes to their breaking point.

The intense clash between the Monster Association and the S-Class heroes in One-Punch Man has left behind a trail of destruction, with both sides suffering heavy losses. As Fuhrer Ugly, now markedly enhanced, launches into another brutal round of combat, yet another hero seems poised to fall in battle.

Severe injuries are common in One-Punch Man, but outright deaths remain rare, as most heroes possess remarkable endurance and resilience. Even those with little to no superhuman abilities, like Mumen Rider, have survived brutal encounters and continued fighting.

However, the ongoing conflict with the Monster Association has started to change that, with Fuhrer Ugly responsible for a string of devastating assaults. Sweet Mask suffered a gruesome beating and was torn in half, though his regenerative abilities leave his fate uncertain.

Tanktop Master sustained multiple fractures in his arms, and at one point, his heart stopped completely. Fuhrer Ugly also mercilessly eliminated the mercenaries hired by the executive board before meeting his own grim fate—being swallowed by an ally.

Yet, instead of perishing, this led to his transformation, granting him corrosive acid-based abilities upon his escape.

One-Punch Man’s Weirdest Monster Just Unleashed His Grossest Attack

Emerging in a partially digested state, Fuhrer Ugly took on a new identity as “Barf President Ugly” and immediately resumed his onslaught, focusing on Bang, the one who had previously defeated him.

Superalloy Blackluster attempted to stand against him but was quickly overpowered by a newly enhanced attack—Forearm Melting Punch, an evolution of the Forearm Destructing Punch that had taken down Tanktop Master.

The strike inflicted unimaginable damage, a shocking feat considering Blackluster had previously endured the high-pressure water blasts of Evil Natural Water without a scratch. The swordmasters attempted to counter, correctly deducing that direct contact with Fuhrer Ugly would be fatal.

However, Zanbai fell victim to a corrosive spit attack, leaving a gaping hole in his face. Atomic Samurai and Nichirin also saw their weapons reduced to nothing but melted hilts, stripping them of their primary means of defense.

Dealing with this newly transformed foe presents a serious challenge, as most heroes rely on direct physical or weapon-based combat. Among those present, only Genos’ incineration cannon and potentially Tatsumaki’s psychic powers seem capable of neutralizing Fuhrer Ugly without causing extensive destruction.

His relentless pursuit of revenge against Bang could create an opportunity for a counterattack, but Bang is already locked in a battle against the freshly monsterized Garou and remains unwilling to divert his attention. With Tatsumaki nearly drained of energy, viable options for stopping Fuhrer Ugly in the immediate future are extremely limited.

The Battle Against the Monster Association Continues

Despite these grim circumstances, all hope isn’t lost just yet. Saitama, Blast, and Flashy Flash are still somewhere on the battlefield and could return at any moment to turn the tide.

Additionally, several A-Class heroes, including Spring Mustachio, have started to arrive, potentially contributing in ways that could tip the scales. Although the heroes have gained some ground, the fight against the remaining forces of the Monster Association is far from reaching its conclusion in One-Punch Man.
