The Funniest Times Heroes Completely Failed in One Punch Man

When incompetence meets heroism, One Punch Man’s C-Class heroes steal the spotlight.

Lower-ranked C-Class heroes in One Punch Man often provide some of the most amusing moments due to their bizarre powers and absurd strategies that frequently backfire. Whether it’s an over-the-top display of incompetence or a hilarious case of mistaken abilities, their failed attempts at heroism stand out.

Some of the best examples include Speed-o’-Sound Sonic being outwitted by basic obstacles, Fubuki struggling to keep her psychic abilities under control at crucial moments, Genos unintentionally causing massive destruction while trying to save the day, and King scaring off enemies without even realizing it.

Their blunders only add to the humor of the series, making them memorable despite their lack of real success.

Speed-o’-Sound Sonic

Even the fastest assassin can run into trouble when he overestimates his own abilities. One of his most embarrassing moments comes when he miscalculates the rebound trajectory of his Sonic Boom attack, trapping himself in the repercussion.

His speed also works against him when he tries to disorient an opponent by running in circles but ends up dizzy and toppling over instead. Another misadventure includes attempting to deliver a pizza at super speed, only to completely destroy the meal in the process, leaving his customer less than impressed repercussion.

Fubuki

Psychic abilities don’t always guarantee success, as demonstrated by Fubuki’s numerous misfires. One of her most unfortunate mistakes involves levitating a massive pile of debris, only to accidentally drop it on herself while trying to rescue civilians.

Even outside of battle, her powers don’t always work in her favor—like when she tries to use telekinesis to flirt but ends up awkwardly yanking on the other person’s hair instead.

Her attempt at intimidating a villain with an earth-shaking psychic blast also falls flat when it turns out to be nothing more than a weak gust of wind.

Genos

Despite his impressive cybernetic enhancements, Genos often struggles with keeping things under control. His habit of going all out in battle leads to unintended consequences, such as overheating his own body while performing an elaborate attack, which results in an explosion.

A lack of situational awareness also gets him into trouble, like when he attempts to sneak through a confined space only to get completely stuck, requiring Saitama’s help to pull him free.

Perhaps the most disastrous of his mishaps is accidentally activating his self-destruct mode mid-fight, causing massive collateral damage that does more harm than good.

King

Few heroes have as much accidental success as King, whose fearsome reputation is entirely unearned. His imposing presence alone is enough to send enemies running, even though he’s not doing anything. He remains hilariously unaware of the terrifying aura he projects, simply trying to avoid conflict while others assume he’s an unstoppable warrior.

To maintain appearances, he resorts to exaggerated poses and dramatic speeches, which, to everyone’s surprise, actually work—convincing villains that he’s far more powerful than he really is.
